Panel discussion about „Resiliency of the Banking Sector in Southeast Europe“ in Dubrovnik, Croatia, October 21, 2009  (18.09.2009)

Leslie Šulenta, managing director of Međunarodne poslovne strategije, will join leading bankers, regulators and experts at the Euromoney's Regional Finance & Investment Conference for Southeast Europe to discuss how to rebalance the region's banking sector and keep credit flowing.

MPS Co-Authors New Research on Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility in Croatia  (14.09.2009)

The latest research finds that listed firms in Croatia are providing more and better information for potential investors on their websites while corporate social responsibility reporting is still weak.  A new study on corporate governance codex disclosures finds that some firms have embraced best practices, but other firms lag. Leslie Sulenta grooms Nigerian resident bank examiners to monitor the largest, most complex banks in West Africa (2009.03.08)

Ms. Leslie Sulenta, CEO of MPS, is on mission to Nigeria where she is grooming a team of experts at the Central Bank to conduct continuous on-site monitoring of the country’s largest, most complex banks.  The Central Bank’s introduction of resident examiners into the largest banks is in response to the global financial crisis and the need to have accurate, reliable information about banks’ exposures and activities.  MPS is cooperating with London Academy for Higher Education on this project.

MPS Cooperating with the German (KfW) and Croatian (HBOR) Development Banks to Promote Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Projects (2009.04.30)

Consultants from MPS have been selected to serve on a team of energy and banking experts which will assist HBOR in upgrading its technical skills and capacity to finance projects in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy.

MPS Cooperating with the European Commission and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (2007.11.22)

MPS' consultants were selected to participate in two recent projects organized by the European Commission. The first project involves the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Croatian Post Bank (Hrvatska poštanska banka, or HPB), where MPS's consultants are cooperating with Ernst & Young to assist in development of HPB's small-medium enterprise banking unit.
The second project involves training and advising the central bank of Syria on risk management in the banking industry. The project is overseen by the German organization InWent.

Leslie Šulenta was interviewed in Lider, the Croatian business publication, about the level of corporate social responsibility in Croatian firms.

MPS conducts derivatives training for bankers in Syria (2007.10.31)

MPS was engaged by the European Commission and a German donor organization to conduct training on risk management and derivatives for a group of leading bankers and central bankers in Syria. The training took place in late October in Damascus.
