1. Banking strategy — for a large Croatian bank, we assisted in building and implementing a strategy for becoming an important player in the SME banking business.
2. Treasury, finance, and risk management — working with the financial managers of a large public utility, we helped establish a corporate treasury function. As a result, the company was better able to manage the group’s cash flows and financial risks.
3. Business strategy design and implementation—for a major tourism company, we worked with senior managers throughout the firm to define a new profit– and growth-oriented strategic direction for the firm. We helped design a new organizational structure and streamline business processes for implementing the new strategy.
4. Organization (corporate restructuring) — for a market-leading privately held company, we lead an overall corporate restructuring program and formalized and improved efficiency of management practices throughout the organization. Afterwards, we assisted the company to attract a strategic investor.
5. Corporate governance — for a publicly traded company, we helped establish a board-level audit committee. We also provided mentoring to the internal audit staff and helped design modern internal audit procedures, policies, and plans.
